September 2017 Newsletter

Wow, what a summer it has been.  I’m ready for some cooler weather, less smoke and football/hunting season.

In the noise and craziness of one of the busiest summers ever, visitors consistently express to me how much they appreciate the warmth and friendliness of our community.  Thank you for treating visitors to our communities as family, it shows in everything you do.

We could not have had a record breaking Heritage Days without your hard work and dedication to Chamber Events this summer.  A special shout out to Berube PT and the volunteers that made our 3 on 3 tournament the biggest yet.

I look forward to seeing each of you as we kick off our General Membership Meetings on September 12th.   Amy Robinson of Montana Wilderness Association and Paul McKenzie with F.H. Stoltze Land & Lumber Co. will share their experience of finding common ground amongst widely varied interests in managing our public lands. From forest planning to the project level, building trust and listening to each other leads to solutions that have traditionally been elusive.
