September 2016 President’s Message

01 Sep

Wow, summer has gone by so fast, and what a summer it was! The buzz and excitement can be felt from the Canyon to downtown Columbia Falls. I have to admit I am ready for the cooler weather and football.

We owe each and every one of you a thank you for the work you did over the summer. Whether it was in your own business, at Chamber sessions, Wildcat Endowment, Community Market or Heritage Days, everyone stepped up and made things happen. THANK YOU!

A very special thank you goes out to Dulcie Berube, Mireille Beirens and the crew at Professional Therapy Associates for the tremendous job they did with our annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. We have had many compliments on the quality and fun of the tournament, and word is we had a record number of teams play. Thanks also to our business sponsors who also helped make the tournament possible.

Our Chamber has been working to gain recognition fro our corner of the Flathead Valley as the place to be for businesses and families. In October, the Board will be having our annual retreat to review our accomplishments from the past year and to set out our priorities and targets for next year. If you have any thoughts, suggestions or comments, please contact me, Stacey Schnebel or any of our Board members.

At our General Membership meeting on September 13th we will be welcoming our new teachers to the community, as well as getting a presentation of the Chamber’s new website by UnderCurrent Web. Please bring a friend and join us in showing our new neighbors what a great community they will be joining.
