Historic Tamarack Lodge

Situated in a scenic mountain valley in the midst of the Montana Rockies, the Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins embodies a classic ambiance with modern amenities and provides year-round Glacier National Park lodging, food and drink  just 8 miles from the West Entrance, for a perfect getaway in the Crown of the Continent whatever the season.

Originally constructed in 1907, the lodge maintains its rustic charm with a log cabin design including exposed lodgepole pine beams and an original stone working fireplace.  These reminders of its long history are complimented by modern updates that make for a stay in comfort and relaxation, whether upstairs in one of our four classic lodge rooms, in one of our motel units laid out in four-plexes  adjacent to the lodge, or any of our 18 private, contemporary cabins.

Groups are welcome, and many family reunions enjoy the wide open spaces we provide our guests for picnics, campfires, volleyball games or stargazing.  Our property is nestled in on the edge of the Flathead National Forest, providing access to wildlife and trails to local ponds stocked with fish and beaver.

All guests are free to relax in our Lodge Great Room and enjoy the character of the lodge throughout their stay. The lodge also hosts our restaurant, espresso bar, saloon and gift shop.

With Montana’s Flathead National Forest in your backyard and Glacier National Park your next door neighbor, the Historic Tamarack Lodge & Cabins offers the perfect setting for your next family vacation, corporate retreat, special event, or weekend getaway!
