The City of Columbia Falls maintains approximately 28 acres of park land including six playgrounds and paved pedestrian paths. There are baseball and soccer fields, picnic areas and playgrounds, a waterfall and an outdoor band shell. The City operates the Pinewood Family Aquatic Center, a 25 meter competitive swimming pool and a leisure pool with several fixed play features.
Other fun summer activities include Montana’s biggest and best Water Theme Park – Big Sky Waterpark. Ten exciting slides, huge whirl pool, picnic grounds, beach volley ball, krazy kars and much more. Aerial adventures, zip-line tours, natural vortex and a captivating family recreation park with a world class wooden maze, bumper water boats, bank shot basketball, miniature golf and race car track.
Family cycling from Columbia Falls to Glacier National Park becomes a long awaited reality in summer 2007 when a 12 mile separated bike and pedestrian path, the Gateway to Glacier Trail.

The Columbia Falls Farmers’ Market and the Community Market fun begins in mid May and continues every Thursday through mid-September. The markets are open from 5 p.m. to 8pm. The West Glacier Farmer’s Market begins June 24th and continues every Friday through Labor Day.
Columbia Falls and the surrounding areas offer numerous camping opportunities, up the North Fork, in Glacier Park, at Hungry Horse Reservoir and on the Flathead National Forest Service land.
